4th of July Celebrations

The fourth of July is coming up this Wednesday, so here is everything you need to know about the surrounding area’s 4th of July celebrations.

 

Taylorville fireworks start at dusk on lake Taylorville. The Optimists club is responsible for the fireworks, and has been for over 30 years.

 

Shelbyville has fireworks planned at Lake Shelbyville Dam West Recreational Center. At 4 in the afternoon, Lilly’s concessions will open up, and will be serving a variety of fair foods. Also, that evening from 6-9, Battle Creek Band will be preforming a live concert. The fireworks will begin at 9 o’clock on Wednesday night.

 

Hillsboro is going to host a biathalon on the morning of July 4th at 7:45. They will also have a cardboard boat regalia on Lake Hillsboro. Fireworks at Hillsboro are set to begin at dusk.

 

Sullivan is going to have a parade in the morning. Later on, there will be sack races, and a watermelon eating contest. Fireworks in Sullivan are set to begin at dusk.

 

Herrick is going to have a parade at 10 o’clock in the morning. Following the parade, there will be live performances of the Van Waylon Band, the Fabulous Hoedads, and Jac Freeze. Fireworks at Herrick are set to begin at dusk.

Pana’s fireworks are set to begin at dusk on July 3rd.
