There were traffic delays Monday on Park Street on the east side of Taylorville. Tree trimming narrowed traffic to one lane on Route 29 through the city.
Taylorville mayor Bruce Barry says the tree known as the “Y-tree” over the road was one of the trees that was cut back.
Barry says Ameren Illinois does a great job trimming trees that could pose a threat to power lines.
