Pana FFA Getting Out the Message That FFA Isn't Just About Becoming a Farmer

It’s National Future Farmers of America Week and many FFA chapters at area high schools are having events and activities to celebrate the organization and its history.

The Pana FFA is included in those chapters celebrating National FFA Week. Chase Tennen with Pana’s FFA chapter says it’s a way to get the word out that the FFA isn’t just about cows and plows anymore.

There are programs through FFA where students can learn life skills through farming. Tennen says high school students can start their freshman year.

Tennen, along with Abbie Lutz, Eric Schafer, and Amanda Hall of the Pana FFA chapter appeared as guests on the Newstalk WTIM Morning Show.
