A Springfield teacher has thrown her name into the ring for Illinois’ 13th District House seat in 2018. Angel Sides has announced her candidacy for the seat currently held by Rodney Davis.

Sides says there are three main issues she wants to tackle.

Sides says public education is the best way to educate America’s youth.

Sides is originally from Jacksonville. She went to the University of Illinois to get her psychology degree before she became a teacher.
