Taylorville Stabbing Early Monday Morning Sends 2 to Area Hospitals

Kellie Barry, 31, of Taylorville was arrested Monday morning for stabbing her boyfriend, Shawn Grubaugh multiple times in the arm.

Early Monday morning at 2:25a.m, officers from the Taylorville Police Department were dispatched to Casey’s General Store on East Park Street in reference to a male who had been stabbed. Barry was located by Taylorville Police at her home where she was arrested for aggravated domestic battery. Barry had a small cut on her foot and she was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital and then taken to the Christian County Correctional Center. Grubaugh was transported to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield and was released early this morning.
