The Illinois Legislature is considering decriminalizing marijuana as a way of reducing our prison population. Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp says while not all drug offenders belong in prison, he's against the idea of decriminalizing pot:

The Legislature has been toying with the idea of making amounts less than 30 grams into a petty offense.
