The Christian County Sheriff’s Office Reports the Following Accidents:
On January 9th at 6:24am, Heather R. Smith, 28, of Stonington, was eastbound on County Road 1550 North. At approximately 1750 East, Smith swerved to miss a deer entering the roadway. She lost control of her 1999 Dodge Sedan due to the snow on the road and entered the south ditch. She was taken to Shelby Memorial Hospital.
The Taylorville Police Department Report the Following Arrest:
Destiny L. True, 28, of Taylorville, was arrested on January 9th. Officers were dispatched to 735 Big Bend Road Apartment 6 in reference to a domestic dispute. True was arrested for domestic battery. She was transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and transported to Christian County Correction Center.
Accidents:
On January 8th at 3:57pm, David M. Jamison, 60, of Taylorville was turning left off of North Spresser into Jamison Plumbing. Amanda M. Simpson, 21, of Taylorville was traveling west of Spresser and failed to see Jamison break. Simpson stated she was not paying attention to Jamison. Simpson sustained major front end damage due to the accident. Jamison sustained major rear-end damage and a possible bent frame. Amanda Simpson was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
