THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:
Craig Stokes, 22, of Decatur, was arrested on November 25th on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court.
Michael Smothers, 34, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 25th on an original arrest warrant for theft >500 < 10,000.
Brandon Emery, 24, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 25th for retail theft.
Jeremy Emery, 21, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 25th for retail theft.
THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:
On November 25th, Stephanie R Schmitz, of Taylorville, was southbound on Cheney Street and Patricia S. Beck was southbound on Cheney Street. Beck slows for traffic stopped at the intersection of Cheney and Spresser. Schmitz slows too late for stopped traffic and strikes the rear bumper of Schmitz.
On November 17th, at 4:00 pm., Susan Kensil of Shelbyville said she was in the left hand turning lane on Webster Street turning left onto Park Street when Randall S. Rowe of Shelbyville, who was in the southbound lane ,turned left causing the trailer of Rowe to hit the passenger side of Kensil. Kensil said he was in the left hand land turning on Webster Street turning left onto Park Street when he came up alongside his drivers side while turning. Rowe said he thought Kinsel stopped and fell back so he could complete his turn. Rowe continued on not knowing the accident had occurred.
