Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 11-21-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Steven Leonard, 35, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 20 on a bond forfeiture warrant for aggravated IVC felonies.

Jericho Dickey, 18, of Taylorville was arrested on November 20 on a bond forfeiture warrant for failure to appear/answer question.

William Sanders, 47, was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant for failure to appear.

Alexandria Rader, 21, of Dallas, Texas, was arrested on November 20 for drug parphernalia.

Charles Lair, 28, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 20 for agravated battery.

Tiffany Hoffa, 22, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 20 for drug paraphernalia.

Joseph Gordon, 18, of Arlington, Texas, was arrested on November 20 for drug paraphernalia.

Keith Weller, 25, of Taylorville, was arrested on November 20 for possession of methamphetamine.

 

ACCIDENTS:

On November 20, Benjamin P. Sanchez, 39, of Decatur, was traveling southwest on Il. Rt. 48 with no headlights on. Jared M. Thomas, 16, of Morrisonville, was stopped on 4th Street at the intersection for Il Tr. 48. Thomas stated that he looked both directions and did not see any vehicles coming, he then proceeded into Il Rt. 48. Thomas said as he was crossing the highway, Sanchez struck his vehicle. Sanchez was not sure whether he had headlights on or not. A witness traveling northeast on Il Rt. 48 just south of 4th street stated he did not see any vehicles traveling southwest on Il Rt. 48 until Thomas was spinning around.

 

On November 20m Logan M Sarginson, 18, of Taylorville, was south bound on Miller Lane with a partially obstructed front windshield(frost). Aubrie M. Cox, 25, of Blue Mound, was backing out of a driveway at #75 Miler Lane and backed infron of the sound bound of Sarginson. Sarginson struck Cox squarely in the back end before it was headed in a forward direction. Both drivers indicated they did not see each other before the crash.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On November 20, at 3:18pm, Taylorville Police Officers were sent to Taylorville High School in reference to a fight. Subsequent to investigation, Charles R. Lair of Taylorville was arrested for aggravated battery.

On November 20, at 4:57 pm, dispatch received an anonymous report of people smoking methamphetamine in a white station wagon in front of 805 East Franklin. Officer arrived and subsequent to investigation, Keith Weller was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. He was transported to Christian County Correctional Center.
