U-of-I Ag Program Places Student Teacher at Taylorville

 width=The University of Illinois Agricultural Education program has placed a student teacher, Sarah Moore, with Agricultural Science Instructors, Sue Schafer, Monty Elvidge, and Stephanie Ruppert, at Taylorville High School, starting in January of next year and running through April.

The U-of-I says Ms. Moore will be teaching classes including: Intro to Ag, BSAA, Ag Mechanics, and Floral Design. The student teaching experience will also include advising FFA activities such as career development events, leadership conferences, and FFA week promotions.

Mr. Gary Ochs, advisor to student teachers in the Agricultural Education Program at the University of Illinois says that the student teaching experience is the capstone for the undergraduate education program. Ms. Moore will be supervised on site by program advisors.
