Taylorville Kiwanis Hear About Christian County LEAD Program

 width=The Taylorville Kiwanis Club heard about the Christian County “Leadership Excellence Achieved by Design”, or LEAD Program, at their weekly meeting Tuesday at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.


Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce C-E-O Patty Hornbuckle, who is also a Kiwanis member, spoke about the 12-week class that civic and businesspeople can enroll in. The program meets every Tuesday afternoon, and tours several different governmental and business locations, as well as holds meetings at the University of Illinois Christian County Extension Office.


Hornbuckle told Kiwanis members that the LEAD Prgoram provides local residents an opportunity to become better informed about community issues, as well as learning how to get things done.
