Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 11-3-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Stephanie Weaver, 41, of Kincaid was arrested on November 2 for criminal trespassing to a building.

Michael Stalnaker, 24, of Assumption was arrested on November 2 for domestic battery.

Mark Villella, 53, of Shelbyville was arrested on October 31 for DUI.

Johnny Katcher, 28, of Jeiseyville was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant for failure to appear and DUI.

David Pettijohn, 39, of Palmer, was arrested on November 2 for domestic battery.

Jeremy Stark, 34, of Pana, was arrested on November 1 for domestic battery, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

 

ACCIDENTS:

On October 31st, Richard D. Ganther, 34, of Morrisonville, was stopped at the stop sign on Perrine Street at the intersection of West North. Ganther was traveling south. Cameron L. Harmon, of Morrisonville was traveling south and was behind Ganther. Harmon went to stop and hit the gas by accident and then hit the brakes. Harmon ran into the rear of Ganther.

On October 24th, Kenneth Ernst 43, of Nokomis was traveling north on County Highway #1. A deer ran into the roadway and Ernst hit the deer causing damage to the vehicle.

On October 27th, Wayne J. Sowers, 25, of Springfield, was east bound and a deer appreared in the roadway from the south. Sowers was unable to avoid contact with the standing deer.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REOPRTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On October 31st, Billy Brown of Taylorville was arrested on a warrant.

On November 2, a male juvenile was arrested on a warrant.

On November 1, at 4:12 pm, a Taylorville Police Officer was ion patrol in the 200 block of East Palmer, when he observed a male juvenile that he knew was wanted on a Christian County warrant. Contact was made with the male juvenile and had dispatch confirm the warrant through LEADS. The juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to post.

On November 1, at approximately 4:32 pm, officers were dispatched to Silver and Elm for a traffic crash. Dispatch advised a hispanic male had fled the scene. The male was located at Park and Silver. Subsequent to investigation, Gasper C. Ixcotoyac of Taylorville was arrested for DUI, reckless driving, no valid drivers license, operation an uninsured vehicle, failure to report an accident to police and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

On October 31st, at 9:04 am, Taylorville Police responded to a complaint of battery at Taylorville High School. A female juvenile was arrested for battery . She was processed and released to her mother.

On October 31st, officers witnessed a vehicle make an IVC violation. Subsequent to investigation. Erica L. Wessling, was arrested for driving while license were suspended.
