The Taylorville Tornadoes host Troy Triad in the first round of the Illinois High School football playoffs this weekend. The pairings announcement was made Saturday night by the I-H-S-A and heard on WTIM and WSVZ.

Taylorville head football coach Jeb Odam told Regional Radio during our annual Pigskin Playoff Preview Show, that he was a bit surprised that the Tornadoes ended up in class 5-A for playoff matchups.

And, Coach Odam said getting a first round playoff game at home is huge for his team and the town.
