Christian County Coroner Amy Calvert Winans conducted an inquest on Wednesday night at the Christian County Courthouse. A jury found that 25-year-old Joshua Edwards, Senior of Pana, died on July 29th of this year, as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. His death was determined as homicidal; the jury also noted the death was justifiable.
Winans also released a statement today (Friday) releasing the final cause and manner of death from the September 21st, 2014 death of Kathleen A. Rhodes. Winans says Rhoades died of inhalation of smoke and soot and thermal burns due to a motor vehicle and train collision with fire. Winans added that alcohol was a factor in the crash, and the death was determined to be accidental.
