Area Lake To Receive Grant Money

Grant money from the Illinois EPA will be used to spruce up a portion of Lake Pana. EPA Director Lisa Bonnett announced the grant earlier this week.

The money will be used to stabilize part of the shore with filter fabric and stone rip-rap. The grant will cover nearly $40,000 of the $50,000 project.

The grant is part of over $212,000 being used to support lake protection, restoration and enhancement at various locations around the state.
