That's comedy legend Jerry Lewis on one of his Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethons in the 1970s.  Lewis will visit Central Illinois this weekend.

Lewis, who first gained national prominence in the 1940s when he teamed with crooner Dean Martin, was a top star in radio and movies as part of the comedy team. Later, as a solo act, he wrote, directed and starred in some of the most popular comedies of the day. Lewis is also known for his tireless fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The 88 year-old funnyman will bring his show to the Effingham Performance Center this Saturday night at 7:00. Tickets are still available. You can find them at Ticketmaster, or by calling 800-745-3000.

The Effingham Performance Center is located near the intersection of Interstates 57 and 70, at exit 160.
