On Monday (10-13), a sharp-eyed Taylorville cop noticed a man suspected of being wanted. The man was a passenger in a vehicle pulling into lot 27 at the Hillcrest Trailer Court. After a quick check with dispatch, Derick D. Brown of Taylorville was reportedly arrested on an unspecified warrant out of Macoupin County. Police say they took him to the Christian County Jail, where he was held in lieu of bond.
Taylorville Police made several arrests Monday in two apparently unrelated incidents at the Tayorville Walmart. According to reports, officers were already at the store right around 5:30 pm when a suspected theft occurred. After an investigation, police say they arrested Faith Lozier of Nokomis and a juvenile on retail theft charges.
Just a few hours later, at around 9:30 pm, Taylorville Police were summoned back to Walmart. They ended up arresting two juveniles on retail theft charges. They were processed and released to their parents.
