Petition Drive-Thru Sunday

A controversy surrounding ambulance service in Taylorville continues to draw attention, and the two local ambulance services are hoping to get names on a petition opposing a recent vote by the Taylorville City Council.

The Council voted six to two last week to allow 911 callers to request the Taylorville Fire Department Ambulance in case of an emergency. Currently, the TFD Ambulance is only dispatched if the two private services are unavailable. Aaron Sutton of Sutton's Ambulance Service says they are hosting a Drive-Thru Petition Drive this Sunday (10-12):

Sutton's Ambulance is at 328 N. Clay. The petitions will also be available to sign at Dunn's Ambulance Service at 305 E. Main Cross. Again, that's from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Sunday.
