The Taylorville Community Credit Union is planning a unique scholarship program. Will Perkins of TCCU says it's available to anybody:

The innovative part is the way the winners will be decided. Perkins says merchants will be encouraged to accept votes for applicants based on how much they spend. It is hoped that this will encourage economic activity. Two scholarships each will be awarded in Taylorville, Hillsboro and Litchfield. Students can sign up at their guidance counselors office. The deadline is Friday (October 17th).g
