Area Arrests/Accidents 10/7/2014

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS 

 On October 4th at 8:37pm, the Taylorville Police Department received a complaint of a possible intoxicated motorist at Amity Food .  The complaint stated a grey colored mustang with four occupants had been all over the roadway.  Officers made contact with the vehicle and subsequent to investigation Kim Miller, of Taylorville, was arrested for driving while her license were revoked. 

 

ACCIDENTS

 On October 3, Richard E. Johnson, 40 of Effingham was at the stop light headed east on Park Street waiting for the light to turn green.  They light turned green and Johnson began to travel across the intersection of Park and Main Cross.  Emily J. Hackler, 48, of Pana failed to reduce speed to avoid colliding into Johnson.  Hackler received front bumper damage and Johnson received rear bumper damage.

 On October 1st, Shannon C. Sarver, 41, of Pana was traveling southbound on Route 29 just north of Kennedy Road when a deer cam onto the roadway.  Sarver struck the deer.  She was able to drive away from the scene.
