Apron Winners Named at 175th Anniversary Celebration Sunday

Winners were announced in the 175th Anniversary Celebration Apron Contest.

In artistic merit and/or effort, the best of show winner was an apron made by Maureen Tarrant of Taylorville. She won 40-dollars. Honorable mention, who won 20-dollars, was an apron made by Steff Durham of Taylorville.

In the “most unique” category, the best of show winner was an apron made by Tina Eblin of Taylorville, who won 40-dollars. Honorable mention was an apron made by Darlene Wilson of Taylorville, who won 20-dollars.

In the effective expression of the theme “Past, Present and Future”, there were 3 winners—one in each category. The “Past” winner was an apron made by Jeannie Bainbridge of Decatur. The “Present” apron winner was an apron made by Tina Eblin of Taylorville, and the “Future” apron winner was Maureen Tarrant of Taylorville. Each won 25-dollars.
