 width=In the midst of this weekend's Taylorville Chamber Chillifest and the city and county's 175th Anniversary Celebration, the Taylorville Fire Department will hold an open house on Saturday after the parade, until 3 in the afternoon.

Fire Department officials tell Regional Radio News there will be all kinds of things to see incuding talking with Sparky the Fire Dog, getting up close with the New Ladder Truck, take a tour of the Taylorville Fire House, and ride in a Fire Engine.

There'll be a burn demonstration at one Saturday afternoon, with smoke house demos at noon and 2 in the afternoon.

The event is free and open to the public.
