Taylorville Chillifest Committee Meets for Last Time Before Event This Weekend

 width=The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Chillifest Committee met for the final time before this weekend's event, on Monday afternoon in the Chamber board room.

 

Event chairperson Greg Hornbuckle told Regional Radio News after the meeting, that this year's event footprint will be bigger than past years.

And, Hornbuckle said the side streets off the Taylorville square, will be used this year.

Part of the increased footprint, says Hornbuckle, is the 175th anniversary celebration of Taylorville and Christian County, which is also happening this weekend on the square and at the Historical Society grounds, with a shuttle running between the 2 venues.

The annual Chillifest is the Chamber's biggest fund-raiser of the year, and also hosts 2 days of International Chilli Society judging.
