An accident Tuesday (9-9) caused no injuries but left a utility pole leaning. According to reports, 49 year-old Don Pembroke of Taylorville told police he was driving on East Main Cross when a car pulled out of Hillcrest Trailer Court, causing him to swerve into the utility pole. The other driver reportedly gave the same story, and was cited for failure to yield.
The pole was reportedly leaning, but not broken. Ameren was contacted about the damaged property.
