Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 8-28-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Alexander Shanks, 21, of Taylorville was arrested on August 27th on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court.

Rodney Aten, 36, of Taylorville was arrested on August 27th on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court.

Nicole Erwin-Gaymor, 23, Of Centralia was arrested on August 27th on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving on a revoked or suspended license.

 

ACCIDENTS:

On August 23rd, a Christian County Deputy was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with injury. Two deputies arrived on scene and observed Kody Page, 30, of Taylorville in the west bound ditch facing south and observed several mailboxes and mailbox posts laying in the same ditch east of Page. There were tire marks leaving the roadway and entering the ditch on the north side of the road. The tire mark continued west until meeting with a driveway/culvert at 3719 Lincoln Trail. Tire marks were observed again on the west side of the driveway over the mailboxes and continuing to Page's location. The deputy approached Page, and she stated she was experiencing head/neck pain and that she swerved to avoid striking an animal and lost control of the 2002 Chrysler she was driving when she entered the north (west bound) ditch. Contact was made with the owner of the damaged mailboxes. EMS arrived on scene and transported Kody Page to Taylorvillle Memeorial Hospital.

On August 28th, Kerstin Kresin, 23, of Pana stated she was west bound on county road 1900 north road and that a deer ran into the roadway and she was unable to stop at the intersection. Kresin struck the ditch and went into the filed. She was not injured.

Ronald Stivers, 45, of Taylorville was southbound on county highway 7 at intersection with county highway 6. He was at the rest at the stop sign, Haley Little , 22, of Stonington was at the rest on county highway 7 behind Stivers. An uninvolved vehicle was traveling east on county highway 6 and turned north on county highway 7. As the uninvolved vehicle turned, Stivers backed up from the intersection to allow more room. Stivers then backed into Little. Stivers was driving a 1996 Peterbilt Tractor and Little was driving a 2004 Lincoln LS.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On August 22, officers were dispatched by 911 to 427 White Ave. for a juvenile stating someone was trying to harm her. Officers then went to 1301 West Park Ave to investigate the matter further. Subsequent to investigation, Christopher Morgason, 33, of Taylorville was arrested for sale or gift of alcohol to a minor. Christopher Morgason was released from the Taylorville Police Department on a notice to appear.
