Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 8-26-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Tonya Fisher, 39, of Taylorville was arrested on August 25th for theft.

Jessica Koonce, 22, of Bulpitt, was arrested on August 25th for driving with a suspended license.

 

INCIDENT:

On August 24th, Joseph Newingham called the Christian County Sheriff's Department to report unknown subject(s) removed some scrap metal and the back end of a vehicle from his property. The subject(s) took an old radial arm table saw and the back end of a white 1965 Ford Ranchero off a flatbed trailer parked on the west side of his garage. The incident occurred sometime between August 17th and August 24th.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On August 24th, a Taylorville Police officer made contact with a make subject that he knew had a valid warrant out of Christian County. The information was ranhru L.E,A.D.S. and verified the warrant. Logan Fleming, 21, of Taylorville was arrested and transported to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

On August 22nd at 12:14 pm, a Taylorville police officer was dispatched to Webster Street and Vine in reference to a subject unresponsive in the intersection. The officer arrived on the scene as Sutton's Ambulance drivers were getting the driver out of the vehicle. The ambulance personal checked the subjects vitals and determined the subject, Steven Moore, 49, of Taylorville was medically ok. The officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Moore. He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and transported to the Taylorville Police Department. The suspect was processed and released without his drivers licence .

On August 24th, a Taylorville Police officer was dispatched to 724 S. Florence Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, James Turner, 53, of Taylorville was arrested for resisting and obstructing a peace officer.

On August 23rd at 9:20 pm, an officer was dispatched to 1100 East Elm in reference to a domestic disturbance. Subsequent to investigation, Karen Hall, 51, of Taylorville was arrested for domestic battery.

On August 24th, officers were dispatched to the lobby of the police department for a walk in complaint from Taylor Sparling. She said she was on the west side of the square when Brittany Spencer, 18, of Nokomis, began yelling at her about a Facebook status Sparling had posted. Spencer continued to yell and hit Sparling multiple times. Brittany Spencer was arrested for battery and released on a notice to appear from the Taylorville Ploice Department.

On August 23rd at 3:40 am, officers were dispatched to 902 S. Wyandotte in reference to a hang up . Billy Brown, 33, of Taylorville and Veronica Sroczynski Oak Lawn, Illinois were located at his residence. Both had valid warrants out of Montgomery County. They were transported to the Christian County Sheriff's Office in lieu of bond.
