Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 8-22-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Jacob Wafford, 37, of Pana was arrested on August 21st on a bond forfeiture warrant for resisting a peace officer.

 

INCIDENT:

On August 21st, Nick Hackney call the sheriff's office in reference to a theft from his residence. He stated unknown subject(s) came upon his property at 2016 South Houston Street and removed an old refrigerator, old clothes dryer and a pile of scrap metal. The theft occurred between 6:00pm on August 20th and 9:30am August 21st.

 

ACCIDENT:

On August 13th, Bree Beeson, 37 of Pana was traveling east on 1950 North Road and missed a curve and ran into a bean field. She them turned around in the bean field and drove back out to the roadway. Beeson traveled north turning on 1960 North Road. She was traveling south. She came to 1800 North Road and continued south onto the church parking lot. Beeson then hit a pole light causing the 2011 Hyundai Sonato to come to a stop. The pole then fell and landed on a picnic table causing damage.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On August 21st at approximately 2:39 am an officer spoke with David Denbow in reference to someone knocking on a window of the residence. Brian Durbin, 23, of Taylorville was arrested and transported to the Taylorville Police Department for processing. He was released on a notice to appear.

On August 21st at 4:25 am officer's were dispatched to 1301 West Adams Street in reference to a fight in progress. Marshalle Dubay, 34, of Taylorville and Dotty Eppenger, 27, of Taylorville were arrested for battery. Doty was transported to Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Both were released on a notice to appear.

 

ACCIDENTS:

 

Garent Wilson, 23, of Taylorville was driving east on West Spresser. He stated he became distracted when he saw a semi trailer in the center turn lane. He looked away for a moment and them noticed vehicles stopped in traffic in frot of him. He quickly deployed the brakes, Caleb Reber, 31, of Taylorville was behind Wilson and had to quickly deploy the brakes, but struck the rear of Wilson's 2000 Chevy Silverado bumper and trailer hitch and major front end damage reported to Reber's 2008 Cadillac.

On August 21st, Michelle Ackley, 30, of Taylorville was leaving from the exit of Jensen's parking lot and did not see Rosella Wise, 60, of Owaneco who was headed north on North Webster. Ackley advised she pulled out in front of Wise. Ackley received front end damage and was issued a citation for failing to yield at a private drive. Wise stated she was headed north on North Webster when Ackley pulled out in front of her. Wise had major damage to the passenger side of her 1996 Buick Century and her vehicle was towed fron the scene.
