The Taylorville School District is weighing its options for property it owns in Mt. Auburn. The closed school and other properties are a drain on the school district’s finances, according to Superintendent Dr. Gregg Fuerstenau:

Dr. Fursteneau says he has presented the School Board with 3 possible options: The Village of Mt. Auburn could buy it, the board could put it up for bid, or they could decide to demolish the building.
