3 Charged with Various Drug Offenses in Relation to Pana Shoot-out

Three people who were arrested during the shoot-out in Pana Tuesday have been charged with various drug offenses. 37-year-old Jason C. Beck of Pana (the half-brother of 25-year-old Josh A. Edwards of Pana), 24-year-old Courtney D. Herbison of Dixon, Tennessee, and 29-year-old Stacy N. Reed of Nokomis have all been charged with possession of methamphetamine precursor and possession of a controlled substance. Beck was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon. 25-year-old Josh A. Edwards of Pana was killed during the shoot-out by the Illinois State Police SWAT Team after he reportedly fled to the roof, set it on fire and then fired his weapon in the direction of officers. The Pana Police Officer that was reportedly shot by Edwards is in stable condition at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
