The Taylorville Police Department arrested one person for aggravated battery, resisting arrest and 2 other charges on Saturday. Just after 11:00pm, Taylorville Police Department officers responded to a call of a male subject acting intoxicated and having a young child with him. Upon investigation, 30-year-old Joshua A. Westerfield of Taylorville was placed under arrest for child endangerment, aggravated battery, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Westerfield was transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
