One of the many things the County Farm Bureau is involved in at the Christian County Fair is the Petting Zoo. Farm Bureau Manager Mellisa McMillan says even in a rural area like this, there are children who are unfamiliar with farm animals:

The Petting Zoo is open from 9am to 7pm Saturday. The Christian County Fair continues through Sunday at the Fairgrounds in Taylorville. Gate admission is free, and there is no charge for parking.
