As a result of an observant Kincaid police officer, a drug investigation was started by the Central Illinois Enforcement Group (CIEG), the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team (MRT), Christian County Sheriff’s Department and the Taylorville and Kincaid Police Departments.

As a result of the investigation, 29-year-old Zachary D. Liberty of Kincaid was arrested for possession of meth precursor, a class 2 felony.

Also discovered during the investigation were four different locations, believed to be used in meth manufacturing in the Kincaid area.
Further arrests and charges are anticipated at the conclusion of these investigations.
