Sangamon Coroner: Remains in Rochester Suggest Homicide

Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards says they now believe the woman whose remains were found in a shed in Rochester was a victim of a homicide. Edwards says the location of the body discovery and the fact that it was covered with items as if to be concealed all point to the likelihood that it was a homicide. Identification of the woman is still pending tests being conducted by the Illinois State Police Forensic Laboratory. The victim is believed to be a white female between 20 and 50 years old. Edwards says they have been able to rule out the remains being Michelle Bianco who is a missing person in Sangamon County. This determination was made through dental records.  The Coroner’s Office is still working on identification through other missing person’s dental records and DNA results will not be finished for several weeks.
