Concerns over contamination at Lake Taylorville have begun to resurface. Taylorville Alderman Martin Vota tells Regional Radio News that despite the concerns, the water is safe:

According to past Taylorville City Council and Committee meeting minutes, a solution to the issue was pursued for 6 years before the matter was dropped in 2005. Vota says Mayor Greg Brotherton has been asked to send a letter to the Illinois EPA for their assistance in finding the problem.
