THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING CRASHES:

On July 14 at 1:18pm, Russel D. Lowrey, 33, of Portar, Texas, was attempting to turn on to park from Cherokee. Lowrey struck the traffic control device on the northwest corner of the intersection with his trailer. The control device was damaged and there was a yellow paint swap on the trailer. No injuries were reported.

On July 10 at 5:39pm, Novella Herman, 81, of Taylorville, was pulling out of a parking spot in the 100 block of West Franklin behind a vehicle registered to Debbie L. Norris of Taylorville. Herman was reportedly distracted by her seat belt and struck the rear of Norris' vehicle. No injuries were reported.
