The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports that an alleged armed robbery in Litchfield resulted in the search of three residences and the arrest of seven individuals over the weekend. On Saturday around 7:30pm, three Springfield residents contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report that they had been robbed. The victims told officers they were at 13077 Washington Road in Litchfield to look at a car that was for sale when three armed white males ordered them out of their vehicle at gunpoint. Two of the suspects reportedly fired their weapons into the air or ground on multiple occasions. The three victims were released after a female took miscellaneous items and one male suspect took approximately $1,000 from them. Descriptions of the subjects led police to identify one as 49-year-old Lloyd R. Perkins of Litchfield.
On Sunday, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Litchfield Police officers, returned to the Washington Road address and arrested 50-year-old Truman M. Seago, 46-year-old April R. Barnes, and 24-year-old Brittany R. White for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit an armed robbery. Evidence found in the home led to three arrest warrants and three search warrants.
During one search warrant at Lloyd Perkins’ residence on Cowin Street, someone inside reportedly started a fire. Four people ran out of the home. Perkins and 29-year-old Meghan M. Finley were both arrested. Perkins was charged with armed robbery, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon while Finley was arrested on a warrant for retail theft.
During the search of the other two residences, 41-year-old Albert J. Buffington was arrested for armed robbery, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and 41-year-old John K. Orzell was arrested for armed robbery. All seven were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
