A Taylorville boy found success at the Menard County Youth Classic which was held June 30 and July 1. Connor Black finished as an area winner in the Boys 15-16 group with a 171 total over the two day event. Country Hills Golf Course and Shambolee Golf Course hosted the third annual Golf Classic. Participants played Shambolee on Monday and Country Hills on Tuesday, and then the scores were combined to determine the winners.  Golfers ages 7-14 years played nine holes and boys and girls ages 15-18 played 18 holes.
