Jered  Weaver (9-6) allowed  five runs on nine hits with six strikeouts over 5
2/3 innings to win his second straight start.

"The  story  of the  night was the  offense, kept scoring  and picking me up,"
Weaver said.

Conor  Gillaspie and  Dayan Viciedo each hit two-run homers for the White Sox,
who  have dropped the first two of this three-game set after winning the final
three of a four-game series against Toronto.

said.

singled home a run and C.J. Cron followed suit with an RBI single. Two batters
later, a Grant Green groundout brought home another run for a 3-0 lead.

Chicago got back within one in the second as Alexei Ramirez was hit by a pitch
and Gillaspie followed with his first home run of the season.

Calhoun launched a two-run shot of his own in the fifth with Green on base for
a 5-2 advantage.

The  sixth inning saw the Angels get another run as Kendrick singled, moved to
second on a wild pitch and scored on a Hank Conger single.

Chicago  made it  a one-run game in  the sixth as Ramirez doubled with one out
and  scored  on Gillaspie's single  to right.  Viciedo followed with his ninth
home run of the season for a 6-5 game. Rich Hill, acquired in a trade with the

the inning.

a run and give the Angels a 7-5 lead.
