Bulls get McDermott in trade with Nuggets

Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Bulls acquired the draft rights 
to  Creighton star Doug McDermott on Thursday night in a trade with the Denver 
Nuggets. 

The  Nuggets drafted McDermott No. 11 overall and dealt him to the Bulls along 
with  Anthony Randolph  in exchange for the  rights to the 16th and 19th picks 
this year and a second-round selection in 2015. 

NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced the trade during the first round. 

Denver  ended  up with Croatia's  Jusuf Nurkic at  No. 16 and Michigan State's 
Gary Harris at No. 19. 

McDermott  ended  his four-year career  as Creighton's all-time leading scorer 
after  averaging  21.7 points  over 145  games and  was the consensus national 
player of the year as a senior. 

Randolph  has  averaged 7.1  points and  4.3 rebounds in  six NBA seasons with 
Golden State, New York, Minnesota and Denver.
