The Philip and Mary Kathryn Trutter Museum at Lincoln Land Community College is hosting the Springfield Civic Garden Club’s Standard Flower Show to honor the club’s 85th anniversary. The flower show is being held Friday, June 27 from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Trutter Center on the LLCC-Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
The theme of the flower show is “Our Legacy of Growing.” The exhibit will feature 70 floral designs, with an emphasis on table settings, artistic craft exhibits and educational displays on honey bees, daylilies and organic lawn care.
