The Pana Police Department reports that one person was sent to the hospital following a crash Sunday afternoon.  Around 12:37pm, 28-year-old Seth A. Garnett of Springfield was stopped in traffic on Illinois Route 16 when 18-year-old Arielle B. McCormick of Centralia reportedly failed to reduce speed. McCormick struck the back of Garnett causing major damage to McCormick's vehicle and minor damage to Garnett's vehicle. McCormick was transported to Pana Community Hospital for injuries that were not physically evident. McCormick was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
