The Pana Police Department arrested one person after a hit and run incident Wednesday. Around 10:27pm, 25-year-old Whitney R. Bennett of Pana contacted the Pana Police Department and reported that a vehicle backed out of a parking spot at 508 North State and hit the rear bumper of her truck parked in the spot next to it. The vehicle then drove away. Bennett identified the driver as 34-year-old Douglas M. Ohl of Pana. Officers later located Ohl and issued him citations for leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, operating a vehicle with expired registration plates, and operating uninsured vehicle. Ohl was given a court date and released.
