Legislation that was recently filed would allow the comptroller to use unexpected revenue to finally pay $112 million in back wages for state workers and pay down the backlog of old bills. Representative CD Davidsmeyer of Jacksonville took part in the press conference and said the fiscally responsible thing to do right now is to pay those bills:
