Your chance to get rid of unwanted paint, insecticides, old gasoline and other dangerous waste products is coming up. The Christian County Solid Waste Management Department along with the Illinois EPA are co-sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste Collection May 17th. Debbie Levault of Solid Waste Management says oil based paints and thinners will be accepted, but latex paint will not:

For more information about what will and will not be accepted, contact the Solid Waste Management Department at 287-2334. Again, the event takes place Saturday May 17th from 8am till 3pm at the Christian County Fairgrounds.
