THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARREST:

Deric D. Brown, 27, of 48 Fairview Court, Taylorville, was arrested May 6 on a bond forfeiture for speeding.

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING CRASH:

On May 2 at 5:37pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was sent to the 300 black of North Webster for a traffic crash. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with Michael J. Fliegle, 58, of Taylorville who said he was traveling north on Webster street. Fliegle said he had his right turn signal on and was turning right into the Discount Tobacco Shop parking lot. Fliegle said as he was turning right, he was passed by Jaimie C. Painter, 32, of Taylorville on the right side. His passenger mirror made contact with Painter's vehicle. The officer then spoke with Painter who said that Fliegle moved over to the left and she started to pass him on the right. Painter said that Fliegle then turned into her path making contact. Passenger Gwenndolyn Fliegle, 68, of Taylorville, reported injuries that were not physically evident but denied medical attention. No other injuries reported.

On May 6 at 7:03pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer located Deric D. Brown, 27, of Taylorville in the 900 block of Franklin East. The officer knew Brown to have a Macoupin County failure to appear warrant. Dispatch verified the warrant through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center.
