A Hewittville resident had a stainless steel still stolen this past weekend. On Sunday, Benjamin Smith called the Christian County Sheriff's Office in reference to a theft. A deputy met with Smith at his residence at 1011 West South Street in Hewittville. Smith stated he had a stainless steel still located on the north side of his garage which is just a few feet away from the alley. Sometime between the evening hours of April 30th and May 1st, unknown subject(s) removed the still from Smith's property. Smith stated the still was all stainless steel and valued at approximately $3,000.
