Today is the National Day of Prayer, and today is also the culmination of several events planned by the Christian County Committee.
The day started with Taylorville Mayor Greg Brotherton hosting a Mayor's Prayer Breakfast this morning at 7 at the Manners Park Dining Hall. Christian County board members and officials, as well as the public, had been invited to attend. Mayor Brotherton tells Regional Radio News about the importance of the event:

Tonight at 7, the Christian County observance of the National Day of Prayer culminates with a service at the Way of Life Church in Taylorville.
