A Shelbyville resident ran into some bad luck last week when his vehicle was stolen in Pana. On Thursday, John Blanco of Shelbyville called the Pana Police Department to report the theft of his 1999 Volkswagen Passat. Blanco said the vehicle was taken sometime between 11:00pm on Wednesday and 7:30am Thursday. The vehicle was parked in the driveway at 800 West Washington Street in Pana when it was stolen. The keys were reportedly left in the unlocked vehicle. The Volkswagen was later recovered by Christian County Sheriff’s deputies who found it crashed in rural Christian County.
