Honor Flight Prepares for Second Flight of 2014

On Tuesday, April 29th, Land of Lincoln Honor Flight (LLHF) will take to the air again to honor 86 of our senior Veterans, by taking them on a no expense, day long journey to Washington, DC, so they may visit and reflect at their national memorials. Local veterans on the flight include:

Blue Mound:

William Dalluge, Jr, US Army, Korean War era

 

Hillsboro:

Melvin Stolte, US Army, Korean War era

 

Irving:

Everett Stolte of Irving, US Navy, Korean War era

 

Kincaid:

Rae Davis, Sr, US Marine, Korean War era

 

Rochester:

Robert Fryhoff, US Army, World War II

 

Taylorville:

Granvel "Spud" Nation, US Army, Korean War era

Earl Spurrier, US Army, Korean War era

 

The public is invited to welcome home the Veterans when they return to the Springfield Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport on April 29th, arriving at approximately 9:30 PM.
