Lake Land College Honored for Technology Use in Classroom

Lake Land College has recently been honored and recognized for its innovative uses of technology to achieve first-rate student learning environments by e.Republic’s Center for Digital Education. This year, the college ranks number seven among mid-sized colleges nationally in the annual Digital Community Colleges Survey conducted by the Center for Digital Education, based in Sacramento, Calif.

According to the survey, 53 percent of colleges surveyed have developed and published social media policies – a nine percent increase since last year and a 25 percent increase in the last two years. Seventy-six percent of colleges are addressing issues regarding learning on mobile devices such as effective delivery of content to multiple platforms among students and faculty, as well as addressing issues around access off-campus. Finally, the survey indicates that 21 percent of responding colleges have developed mobile apps for course content.
